Writing Link

Young Writers Go Wandering

The whole gang ready for an adventure to the UCSB Lagoon.

We stopped at the beach for some exploration.

It was a perfect day for a writing walk!

I mean, just look at how blue the sky was! #nofilter

We ended with a break on the cliff to take in the view.

Luckily, no one fell off the edge. We made it back and can't wait to see what our next adventure will bring.

Digital writing camp

I have been in this camp for six years, and this is the first time they have included computers on our desks. It is definitely a different experience than all the other years, and because this is the first time we have done digital writing, it makes this group of students technically ginny pigs. The experience so far has been quit interesting and I am glad that they still keep morning writing in our notebooks. The class has definitely become much louder from the questions and the conversations, but their is less commotion from dropping pens, and the scratching sound created by pencils on paper. It is also much cleaner with no eraser dust, and accidental ink blots on the tables. It is easier to share our work with each other and spell check is amazing. We have created dopplegangers and memes filled with overflowing creativity. Nature walks are at lack now, and pens running out of ink are non existent, these are a couple things I miss.  Over all though, this weak as been a great experience.
